Definitely a tear jerker at points. - What I could not get over, so to speak, during the film, was the fact that, most of the young woman’s problems might have been solved, or at least dealt with less harshly, had she explained who had raped her. (this is one of the films, yes.) - I later realized, no, why should a woman have to explain herself after an unspeakable wrong has been done to her?? Whenever someone asked Meryem (the female “protagonist”) who had been to blame, if not her, she would only reply, “I have done nothing wrong”. That is pretty powerful.
There were a bunch of hideous, and I mean hideous, editing choices made in this film that could not bring my rating up by even a half star.
